About

Hailing from Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, Holland’s music passion formed at a young age as he was being classically trained in piano, and began performing at the age of 5. A few years later, he picked up guitar and grew an uncontainable interest in rock music; Ryland teamed up with Max Portnoy and created the Progressive Rock/Metal quartet, Next to None, where he learned the ins-and-outs of the music industry, performance, professionalism, and studio work under the mentorship of Mike Portnoy. With Next to None, Holland toured along-side Haken, Metal Allegiance, Adrenaline Mob, Nothing More, Ghostship Octavius and more, and has played shows with other acts such as The Winery Dogs. Some of their music festivals include Warped Tour, ProgNation at Sea, LaconiaFest and Musikfest. Holland left the band to pursue an education in music at Berklee College of Music. During this time, he gained experience in the fields of Pop, Rock, Folk, R&B, Fusion, and Jazz, while also learning sound design and production.

Beyond the contemporary/mainstream front, Ryland is a composer and arranger, landing pieces with multiple dances and ballets including pieces for Boston Conservatory, while also arranging strings for contemporary artists, writing for TV+Film, advertisements, and more. When he is not touring with the likes of  Lexi  Jayde, Alex Warren, Reneé Rapp, Catie Turner,  Katelyn Tarver, and others, he calls Los Angeles his home.
